13+ Years Trading Futures

About Still Funded

I'm Lane Dotson, the founder of Still Funded, and I have been day trading futures for over 13 years. Mostly ES, with NQ, GC, and CL in the rotation, and YM, RTY, 6E, 6A, and 6J when the setups are there. Prop firms are how a lot of traders fund a trading career now, and the review sites covering them are mostly broken. This site exists to fix that.

The problem with prop firm review sites

Most of them are coupon pages with a rankings table stapled on. The firm paying the highest commission sits at the top. Codes go stale, rules pages fall out of date, and nobody tells you a firm's trailing drawdown will eat your account before you ever see a payout. You deserve better than a sales page pretending to be a review.

Bad Discount Codes

Dead codes that fail at checkout, or fake percentages that never existed.

Paid To Promote

Whoever pays the biggest commission gets called the best. Every time.

Outdated Rules

Rules pages that went stale months ago, so the review is just wrong now.

Not Trader-Friendly

Firms chosen by commission rate instead of the trader-friendly rules that help you pass.

How firms get scored here

Every firm gets scored on the same four things: Trust, Cost, Payout, and Rules. The scores come from the actual numbers. Fee structures, drawdown mechanics, consistency rules, payout policies, and the firm's public track record. Commission never touches the score. If a firm we earn nothing from is the best fit for you, that firm wins the ranking and we say so.

My Experience With Prop Firms

I am an active futures day trader with more than 13 years in the markets. I have passed prop firm evaluations and I have failed them. Every firm has its own rules and its own trading environment, and those rules shape how you can trade long before your strategy does. Trailing drawdowns, consistency rules, daily loss limits. Get on the wrong side of them and it does not matter how good your entries are.

Passing the eval is only step one. Getting funded and staying funded is a whole separate skill, and nobody hands you a playbook for it. That is why Still Funded was born: to help you through the whole prop firm journey, from picking the right firm for how you trade, to passing the eval, to getting funded and staying funded.

Trailing Drawdown

Your loss limit trails your highest balance, so a green day can still end you.

Consistency Rules

Limits on how much a single day can count toward your total profit.

Daily Loss Limits

A hard floor that ends the account the second you cross it.

Time Limits

A deadline to hit your target. Now creeping into futures evals too.

Trend Friend

Still Funded is the second business I have built for traders. The first is Trend Friend, a suite of TradingView indicators built around order flow and price action. Getting funded is step one. Staying funded is the part that pays, and that is where the right tools matter. You can read more about my trading background on the Trend Friend about page.
